IF your child will likely be moving from Rookies to Minors or from Minors to Majors, (or is new to the league and will be in Minors or Majors), evaluations and drafts are going to be held on Sunday, March 10.

The major and minor division Little Leagueevaluations and drafts will be held on Sunday March 10 at the high school from 12:00 noon until approximately 4:30. All major division and minor division coaches are required to be at the evaluations and draft. The coaches will be evaluating the kids in preparation for the drafts to be held after both evaluations are complete. We will be contacting each past coach and looking for possible new coaches for this year – depending on number of teams. Those personal contacts will be made during the week of March 4th (not before). If players from last year were on a major or minor team and are staying on that team – they DO NOT have to attend tryouts. The evaluations will include any possible 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 year olds MOVING upto Major or Minor divisions or if a player is new to League. The evaluations for the 10,11 and 12 year oldsMOVING up will be from Noon – 1:30 on March 10 in the high school gym. The evaluations for the 8 & 9 year olds MOVING up to Minors (from rookie) will be 1:30- 3:00 on March 10.All players that attend and wish to move up should bring gym sneakers (no cleats), and a baseball glove. They may dress in sweats, shorts, etc. Bats are optional. Baseballs will be provided during the tryouts. Parents will be asked to stay in the lobby area of the high school. ** Players wishing to move up to the next level are not guaranteed to do such. The evaluation will be based on the fundamentals of baseball and the evaluators may suggest, due to the child’s safety, that the child should stay in the division that they were in last year.
