2012 CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS
Tryout Clinics will be held in the W.A. Gym from Monday, March 12 through Thursday, March 15 from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. each day. Cheerleading Tryouts will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the gym. At Tryout Clinics, candidates will learn the material that is required for tryouts.
Rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders are eligible to try out for the Varsity squad and rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are eligible to try out for the J.V. squad.
A sign-up sheet will be posted outside the main office on Tuesday, February 28 and will remain up through the beginning of tryout week. After a candidate puts her name on the sheet, Miss Lucie Ann will then give her a Tryout Packet containing detailed information about our cheerleading program which parents and cheerleading candidates should go over together.
Cheerleading tryouts are directed by UCA judges (Universal Cheerleading Association). The cheerleading coach, the Athletic Director, members of the Booster Club, members of the Board of Directors, and members of the Administration, including the Head of School, have no part in the scoring or the selection of the squads in any way.
