New Section!!! "Coach Hal"

“Coach Hal” has been a coach and teacher for more than 36 years, including 20 years as a physical education teacher of physically and mentally challenged students who are highly motivated.

He was head football coach at Park High School of Cottage Grove for 4 years and 14 years as head coach of Woodbury High School.  He started using the Coaching to Change Lives program in 1996, following a 2-7 season the year before, and has not had a losing season since.  His 1998 squad, picked to finish fourth in the conference in a coaches poll, won the AAAAA Minnesota State Football Championship.

In 2001 Gary took a leave from teaching and coaching and was a national speaker, trainer of coaches, teachers and athletes on leadership and character.  While on leave Gary co-author five books and became a private pilot. Both dreams he always had in life and not until CTCL became part of him did he “believe” it possible.

Gary has returned to Woodbury High School to coach and teach the CTCL philosophy.
