Vernon Youth Baseball Organization (VYBO) will be holding registrations for its 2012 Spring/Summer on the following dates:
Wednesday, February 1st, 2012
Tuesday, February 7th, 2012
Thursday, February 9th, 2012
Thursday, February 16th, 2012
Registrations will be held at VCMS (Vernon Center Middle School) on these dates between the hours of 6 PM and 8 PM.
Vernon Babe Ruth Registrations
Vernon Babe Ruth has 2 divisions. Babe Ruth (13-15) which is an in-town league that schedules approximately 12-14 games during the regular season and a post-season tournament and Sr. Babe Ruth (16-18) which is a recreational travel league.
Cost*: $95.00 per player ($80.00 for each additional player/family).
a Birth Certificate is required for 1st year of participation.

Travel Team Tryout Registrations
Jaycee-TD Bank
The Jaycee-TDBank travel league has been organized so that players aged 13-19 may play baseball and have the benefit of regularly scheduled competative opposition in three (3) different age groups.
Prep (13)
Junior (14-15)
Senior (19u)
Cost: $135 per player
$95.00 is due at the time of registration for the reservation of a tryout spot.
American Legion
Connecticut American Legion baseball is a competative travel league created for the purpose of providing players with the opportunity to develop their baseball skills and leadership qualities.
Jr. Legion: The American Jr. Legion league age is 17 and under.
Cost: $225.00 per player.
$95.00 is due at the time of registration for reservation of tryout spot.
** Sr. Legion: The American Sr. Legion league age is 19 and under.
Cost: TBD
$95.00 is due at the time of registration for reservation of tryout spot.
**Sr. American Legion is not a direct product of VYBO. Both the Sr. and Jr. Programs work together in an effort to field the most competative teams possible in their respective league.
NOTE: VYBO involvement in any league or division is dependent on registrations/participation.

VYBO is currently accepting volunteer manager/coaches applications for the Spring/Summer 2012 seasons for all leagues in which they participate. Depending on registrations there could be up to five Babe Ruth teams, a Prep (13) and/or Junior (14-15) Jaycee-TD Bank and Jr. American Legion (17u) team. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to organize/oversee practices, as well as communicate effectively with players, parents & umpires. They must also provide evidence of the ability to teach proper playing skills, fundamentals and sportsmanship at all levels. All applications must be received no later than Thursday, March 1st, 2012. Applications are available on this site in the Handouts section.
