There is a new registration process that has to be done before tryouts. Players will register directly with the Region - not through CAV. The cost is $40 that will be paid to the region, CAV is lowering our fees by $40. Below is the new process. CAV will be at Downtown Athletic on Nov 21st to help with the process.
YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE WITH WEBPOINT BEFORE TRYOUTS The Region has established a new policy requiring all players to have a current USAV membership prior to tryouts. To obtain a current USAV status, you must register online and pay your 2009 membership fee of $40. Both can be done on the WebPoint web site. The $40 fee is nonrefundable, but your USAV membership is transferable to another club should you fail to be selected to one of our teams. The 2009 CAVC fees have been reduced by $40 since the club will no longer be responsible for this cost.Online Payment is preferred to expedite the registration process. However, the Region will accept a check or money order for those who wish to use the old mail in system. Mail your payment along with a note stating the player’s name and DOB. Mail to ODR Registrar, 4044 Georgia Rd. Chesapeake, VA 23321. The registrar may be able to post payment to your account within 72 hours upon receipt.
For returning players, go to the following link: https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/wp15/IntraLock/Login.asp Follow the “Renew Online” link on the left of the page. If you have not retained your log-in and password from last season you can request this information from the ODR registrar via email at membership@odrvb.org. Requests will be answered in the order in which they were received. When the registration process is complete, you will be emailed a confirmation. Print this confirmation email and bring it to tryouts along with your completed jersey form (attached).
For new players, go to the following link.https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/wp/memberships/join.asp?mbr_ChapterID=25976Choose UNDECIDED as the club. When you are selected and accept you may then go back and change to the club you are joining. When you finish the Registration process print the confirmation page and take a copy to all Tryouts and give to the club you choose.
Print this confirmation email and bring it to tryouts along with your completed jersey form (attached).

Practice locations
Western Albemarle HS, Albemarle HS, Jack Jouett MS & Henley MS
CAV will be holding most practices during the week. Albemarle County has begun charging outside organizations for use of gyms on the weekends - a fee and janitor. In order to minimize the cost of CAV we will utilize all of our time reserved during the week before using weekend time. But until basketball is over there will be some weekend practice and when basketball finishes, we will shift to mainly using weeknight practice times.
New this season - CAV will enter teams in Revolutionary Rumble in Williamsburg in addition to the Shamrock Festival - both 2 day tournaments. Plus each player will receive a warm up t-shirt and tote bag.
CAV will host 3 tournaments - Feb, Mar and April. The March tournament dates of 3/6+7 will be held at UVA's Memorial Gym and Slaughter Rec Center!!!
Look for our information day at Downtown Athletic in November!!!!!
CAV will make every effort to update this site as soon as practice is cancelled. Below is the policy from Albemarle Co that we follow. Hopefully coaches will e-mail their teams when their practices are cancelled. If you have questions, e-mail your coach or CAV. If practice is on but you don't feel safe to come out, just e-mail your coach and let him know. Thanks and be safe!!!!
The Albemarle County rule is that if schools close early or
are cancelled, then all activities at the school are cancelled also and therefore CAVC will NOT practice. However, if we have a delayed opening, everything is still on. On weekends, the club can make the call for ourselves unless the schools cancel their weekend activities, such as basketball games. Contact your team coach to see if practice is on during a weekend.
