The Colts had a tough battle to win the NT Championship game in the 9U division. Baldwin put up a fight, but in the end the Colts wanted it more and dug down deep to take the Championship 9-6.

Coach Barsky 9u Colts Update
08/13/08 - @ Howell Road - Mike Delgais pitching 4 strong shutout innings, with the bats backing him up for a 13-0 win over Merrick, big and I mean BIG BATS from John"Rocket" Alimo hitting the fence in center and Brian"BBD" socking a double to left with bases loaded clearing the bases. Murph with 3 nice strokes. "Big Willie Style" getting it done in right field and Murph in center. Good job done by all.
08/08/08 - I have to say I am very impressed with some of the raw power that comes out of those bats. 22-8 the 9u colts beat Garden City, John "ROCKET" Alimo hitting 2 big blasts 1 for a home run and the other for a stand up triple, again Matt "sticks" sparking the team stealing home plate for the go ahead run. Hitting was contagious, it spread like a virus Deluca doing it "Big Willie Style" with 2 shots to right field, Mike P. comes up big with 4 RBI's, Murph with some big gappers in the clutch. Nice small ball all around too - Bunting and base running were done right. KEEP ROLLIN KIDS.

9u Colts Win Big
Practice as a team you win as one too.
7-21-08 - I thought we were having a home run derby at one point in the fifth when 3 of 4 batters hit homers. Matt"sticks" hitting one along with Luis "hurt", but the the big stick was Thomas "locos" Logan with 2 homers and batting 4 for 4. Heads up on the bases as 3 players- Brian "BBD", Steven, and Sticks steal home. Honorable mention goes to Mike D. going 3 for 4, and J.J. for 2 for 2 with a walk. Keep it up guys.

Coach Barsky's Report on Opening Day for 9u Colts
The Colts were flat for the first 2 innings of there season opener.
Then in the top of the third the bats finally came to life and did the talking. Luis"hurt"Dono led off the inning with a triple, then the next batter John Alimo strokes another triple, next John with some heads up baserunning steals home and the mood of the game changed.(So did coach Mikes).
Jacob Bouzaglou with 2 big catches in left field, saving some runs and taking the wind out of there sails. In the fifth inning the Colts would bat around for an 11 run fifth inning. A nice play at the plate with Murph in right field throwing to Steven at first just missing the runner then Steven firing a dead on throw to Brian"BBD"Donnelly for the put out to stop a potential rally.
Luis pitched 4 innings only letting up 1 run. Mike D. throwing real hard in the fifth to close out a 14-1 game.

Coach Barsky 9u Colts 2008
It started in the top of the first inning with the Colts scoring 4 runs. Then, right back at it in the second tacking on 3 more.
Our fielding was top notch all day.
Steven with 2 huge diving plays at first.
Luis "hurt" Dono with a big catch in the outfield saving a couple of runs. JJ and Thomas caught a beautiful game
- Thomas, love the framing (I see everything boys).
Outfield relays were right on nailing two men at the plate.
Brian Donnelly with a blast off their big pitcher - had to be 250 ft. Matt "sticks" legging out 2 infield singles and Thomas legging out another.
Even when they came back to make it 12-8 in the bottom six,
