This is Coach Lombardo's tenth year as Central High School's Assistant Varsity Coach. He is recognized throughout the region as a coach who has achieved the highest level of high school baseball success. Coach Lombardo also serves on the Valley Stream Little League Board of Directors, as well as being District Director of the Nassau County Big League Program. Lombardo's twenty one years of experience is both abundant and diverse. He has lead teams in Valley Stream, Franklin Square, Williamsport Big League and the Connie Mack League. This year Coach Lombardo stepped up into the head coaching roll for two series resulting in his first six varsity wins. Last year Coach Lombardo was selected by the National Baseball Coaches Assoc. as Assistant High School Coach of the Year. Another notable achievement was the 1991 New York State Big League Championship. In a display of incredible continuity, his Valley Stream Big league teams have won championships for six consecutive years. For the last two years
Lombardo has spent his summers working with
the American Baseball Academy both as a Coach and a Site Director. He and his lovely wife Anita live in Elmont NY and have two daughters Gina and Dana.
