SHORT HOPS

DRILL DESCRIPTION: 15 feet from the wall, hit the ball and continuously short hop the wall using the bow and arrow attack position. This drill’s emphasis is on getting into the attack position early. Proper footwork and quick reflexes are exercised here. Snap the wrists through and get a lot of topspin if possible. Get into a rhythm and hit the ball off the rebound. If you get really good at this, begin to jump as you hit the ball. This drill can also be applied to jump serving as a means to better understanding the motion.
