JUMPSERVE AND REACT




For this drill, you will need a partner, a ball, and the beach.   

To begin, jump serve a portion of the court and sprint to your defensive position. When the ball lands in, have your partner on the other side of the net hitting a downball to a specific shot (high line or cut shot). This is a great drill to train muscle memory to react quickly to cut shots and NOT rely on reading a hitter's arm. Instead, this drill teaches you to rely on quick reactions.

Do about 10 and switch with your partner. Then do the same thing on the other side of the court.
