VLL Raffle

Updated May 20: We are ready to distribute extra raffle tickets to managers\coaches for their teams. They are at the concession stand and they will need to sign for them. Also, as they receive monies and stubs, they can drop off at concessions as well.

We are fortunate to have amongst the best little league facilities in the area and in order to keep, maintain, and improve what we have, Vestal Little League relies on memberships, sponsors, concessions, and fundraising to support the league.  We need everyone’s help to support the league.  You should all be receiving the Vestal Little League 2012 raffle tickets soon if you haven’t already received them.  The raffle is a large part of our fundraising revenue. The raffle will be in mid to late June towards the end of the season and everyone will be notified when the date is determined.

Please do your part to sell your share and support the league.  Parents should turn in money and any unsold tickets to their team manager.  Each manager is responsible for their team’s tickets and money - any unsold tickets and all money should all be turned in to Doug Beaulieu who can be reached at 607-760-5435.  Thanks for your help!

Little League International Announces Bat Rule Changes for 2012 Season

By Communications Division
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
November 2, 2011

In an effort to provide timely information on bat rules, Little League International today announced the bat specifications and standards for the 2012 season.

Here are the highlights, followed by the actual text of the 2012 baseball bat rules:

  • For the Little League Major Baseball Division and below: The moratorium on composite-barreled baseball bats remains in effect. However, some composite-barreled baseball bats that have been proven in laboratory testing to meet the BPF (Bat Performance Factor) standard throughout the life of the bat, through the Accelerated Break-In (ABI) process, have received waivers. That list is here: Licensed/Approved Composite 2 1/4 Bats.
