Welcome to Visions Web Site!
Visions Track Club (VTC) is a non-profit (501-C) organization established to train and enhance the athletic abilities of youth athletes. Our mission is to promote, encourage and develop willpower, determination, competitiveness, academic excellence and moral character in each athlete, through continuous teamwork, positive role models and community awareness. Club History: Visions Track Club (VTC) was established in 1994 by John and Charlie Rickett, Debra Broussard, Phyllis Shilo, Anthony Kinion and Sharon Walls, with Walter Walls as the Head Coach. These seven individuals felt compelled to start Visions Track Club for the athletic development of youth girls ages 13 thru 17. Since our inception, we have diversified our team with the inclusion of youth girls and boys age 6 thru 17. Our exceptional youth athletes have received local, regional, national and international recognition by setting national record times and receiving many awards. Our youth strive each year to compete in the National Junior Olympics, which is the equivalent of the Olympics. USA Track and Field Association sponsors both the Junior Olympics and the Olympics. It should be noted that, from the Junior Olympics the top 8 athletes are selected and observed throughout the year to be chosen for the USA Youth World Team, who would then represent the United States by competing in the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) Championship. We are proud to acknowledge that one of our very own; Brandi Cross has achieved this honor. As part of our dedication and commitment to our track club, it has been our focus to expose our athletes to the various track and field events throughout the United States. Since the establishment of VTC, the continued success of our athletes has allowed us the opportunity to take more than 20 athletes to compete in the National Junior Olympics.
