Lightning Baseball Wins the 2006 Super Series Winter Nationals(Stats) in Peoria, Arizona.  28 Teams attended the Winter Nationals in the 14 year old division, as the Lightning who ended up 4th in pool play seeding defeated 8 different teams going 8-0, scoring 75 runs, only allowing 23, beating the #5, #3, #2, and #1 seed, including last years American Division Champions, and last years National Division Runner-Up.  Great job Lightning Baseball.  Game summaries and stats are listed below.Click on Game Description on left to view score card and oponent on right to view game stats: Winter National Pool Play #1 Lightning Baseball 7 Vs. Lightning Attends BPA Manteca Big League Dreams

Lightning attended the end of summer Top 10 BPA series and took the championship beating the Delta Dawgs 5-3.  Lightning went undefeated 4-0 in the tournament.

 

Tuesday, July 22
Dinuba, Ca July 26th Next for Lightning 10U's
Lightning Baseball 9 and 10 year olds combine to form a Navy and Silver team to compete in Dinuba August 2-3rd.  This is the last tournament before the players move up age groups.  Navy went 1-1 in pool play on Saturday to face Dinuba's 10U's on Sunday in the first round of elimination play.  With that win, Navy had to face the Silver who had gone 2-0 on Saturday.  The winner of this semi final game would advance to meet Delano in the Championship who advanced over the Dinuba 9's in extra innings.  The Navy were up 11-3 mid way through the game.  However, Silver kept picking away at the lead and with the game tied up, Tyler Costa stole home on a passed ball to win the game 12-11.  The Silver went on to win the championship over Delano 5-3.  Great Job Lightning.

Tuesday, July 22
Lightning 9 and 10's combine to take championship

Visalia Heat July 18-19th- CBA Lightning Baseball's first tournament ended with a suprise.  After dividing the combined group of 9 and 10 year olds into a Navy and a Silver team, both teams advanced to the championship with the Silver edging out the Navy to take the title.
