The Noles went down to Panama City FL this past week to play the in USSSA World Series. Beginning pool play the Seminoles took on the Houma Hurricanes of LA, making a statement in a convincing win over the Hurricanes 19-1 to kick off the World Series. Next the Noles played the North Georgia Jackets. The Seminoles once again prevailed in a 10-7 win. To end pool play The Noles played the Alabama Braves, however the Braves were too much for our boys as the Braves win 7-0, ending pool play giving the Noles a 2-1 record and a spot as the 9th seed in bracket play. The Seminoles came in hot as they took on the 8th seed Diamond Jaxx of Georgia defeating them 5-4 to advance to the next round. Next on the list was the #1 overall seed, the South Georgia Beast. Both teams gave it everything they had, fought down to the last out, but the Seminoles took the win 7-6 over the Beast. In the Quarterfinals our Noles played the only undefeated team left in the tourney, the GA Scorpions, Defensive errors and miscues crippled the Seminoles as they lose 8-6. The Seminoles made it to Championship Sunday, in order to win the championship they had to win five games. The Seminoles would not make it past the first game as the errors carried over from the previous game as they lose to the Jackets 9-1. The Seminoles finished 6th out of 22 teams, Congrats to the Seminoles!
