Each new playing season begins with thousands of children throughout the District 3 region who are eager to learn and play the game of baseball or softball.  Most of these boys and girls will develop a fondness for their practice regimens and strive to learn the skills necessary to perform well out on the field.  In addition to working and playing hard they will form friendships with their team mates; many of which will last far beyond the time they will actually play ball with one another.  Together they should learn how to win or lose with integrity, develop good character, show courage when challenged by a stronger opponent, and display loyalty to the proper teachings and foundations given by their parents, coaches, and other mentors.

Few will disagree that there are not many things in life greater than watching a child smile, laugh, learn, and simply have a good time participating in an activity produced in a wholesome atmosphere.  In the midst of all the fun that goes on during practices and games, please do not overlook that it is all made possible by hundreds of volunteers throughout the District 3 region.  These individuals proudly donate their time and energy to bring the Little League experience to life in our communities.

To everyone who made it all happen in 2009; coaches, umpires, moms, dads, concession helpers, field maintenance workers, local board and district staff members--we salute you.  Captured within the following photographs are special moments in time...and the product of your extraordinary efforts.
