The Valley Vipers play in the Central Valley Fastpitch League.  The 2009 16U division will consist of team from 4 towns from Southington, Watertown, Prospect, and our team.  We play one double header games a week starting after the high school schedule season is over which is around the first week of june until the end of july. We will played in 5 tournaments in 2009.  June 13-14 in Seymour, June 27-28 in Norwalk, July 18-19 in White Plains, NY, July 25-26 in Lowell, MA and the league tournament at the end of July. We had practice starting the first sunday in January until the school seasons starts. We also practice during the season when time and need reguired it.

Our goal is to help the girls understand what it takes to play at the next level of competition. Help them become smarter players, not to change but help build on their ability that got them to the level they are playing at now. Also to make sure that this experience is fun and something that the girls can look back on later in life and remember having a great summer.

The coaches that will be guiding your daughters are from area high school, including Shelton, Derby, Ansonia.

In 2008 we play in 4 week end tournaments two in June and two in July, and 14 league games spred out from the first week in June to the third week in July with taking the fourth of July week and weekend off and will do the same in 2009. We are very concerned with allowing some time for family during the summer but at the same time being committed to the team. Also we try to help the parent out with trying to keep the cost as conservative as possible with the cost in 2008 for the season and the tournaments only costing $300.00 plus the uniforms and with sponsors that cost would only go down. Just becuase the cost is low it does not effect the integraty of the way we look and play as in 2008 we were in first place in our league until the final weekend when injuries affected our play.

If you are interested in joining our team or need more information please contact Ed Sheehy 929-1374 or e-mail at jeeb@snet.net

Our 2008 season was a great success.

We finish tied for second in our league. We finished every tournaments with aleast two wins. We made great strides from last year being only a second year team. It normally takes years to build a good program and because of the dedicate of the players and coaches we have been a competitive team after only two years.
