The Valley Vipers play in the Central Valley Fastpitch League, Pony and ASA tournaments.

Our goal is to help the girls understand what it takes to play at the next level of competition. Help them become smarter players, and to help build on their ability that got them to the level they are playing at now. Also to make sure that this experience is fun and something that the girls can look back on later in life and remember having a great summer.

We start practice the first sunday in January in a Gym and have batting during the weeknight or Saturday at our own batting gage a until the high school seasons starts. We also practice during the season when time and need reguired it.

The total cost for 2010 was $375.00 plus uniforms.  In 2010 the teams decided to run an adult fun night out fundraiser (run per team if neccessary for additonal items a team my want).

If you are interested in joining our team or need more information please contact Ed Sheehy at ed@riverviewfh.com

The 2011 14u and 16u hightlights will be up soon

The newly formed 18u team consistant of the 6 girls from Valley Vipers 2010 16u team and 6 girls from the Southington Lighting 2010 16u.  The friendship bond was created because of the years of playing against each other.  This team jelled quickly and won two tournament in 2011.

The 2010 16u team finish first in the CVFL Tournament and second in the Southington Breast Cancer Tournament.   The 16u played in the CVFL which consisted of5 teams who we played twice and 6 tournaments with only one out of state to help control the cost for the parents. The first year 14u team played 9 teams in the CVFL and 5 tournament with only one out of state.  The 14u team played very well and finish the season strong winning more games the second half of the schedule.  Just becuase the cost is low it does not effect the integraty of the way we look and play, as in 2008 the 14u team were in first place in our league until the final weekend when injuries affected our play and that same team which is the 2010 16u won the CVFL tournament.
