Thursday, October 8 Villa Park Vipers 18U Fastpitch Softball The Vipers are moving to 18u with their eye on 18u Gold qualifying in January/February. We will be at all the Top Showcases this Fall competing against the very best. We are currently looking for a pitcher to complete our roster. Come to a team where you will play and be seen. The games will be played at Rancho Bernardo Park in San Diego and Kit Carson Park in Escondido Vipers are 1-2 at Surf City October Showcase The Vipers had their roughest weekend of the fall season going 1-2 at the Surf City Fall Showcase before the rains came and the last two games were cancelled. The Vipers beat Jersey Intensity Gold 8-2 and then dropped the next two to the Socal Diamonds and Norcal Shockers Gold. Vipers Go 5-0 at Surf City Fall Showcase The Vipers had a great weekend going 5-0 at the Fall Showcase beating the SD Renegades 6-1, Stealth Adams 3-1 and Artesia Punishers 8-7 on Saturday. On Sunday, they came out strong and beat the Socal Jags 6-1 and followed that up with a 6-2 win over Socal Showcase. All in all a great weekend. Next weekend we face a tough schedule at the October Showcase. Surf City Fall Showcase Game Times Set Check out the Schedules page for the 10/9 and 10/10 game times. The games will be played at Artesia Park in Artesia, CA. Vipers Go 4-1 at Socal's Finest Fall Kick Off The Vipers played hard and went 4-1 in the oppressive 105 degree heat in Menifee. The Vipers swept on Saturday, beating Socal Diamonds 6-5, Strike Force Gold 6-4 and Power Surge 9-1. On Sunday, they came out a little flat in the morning and were demolished 10-0 by a very good TNL squad. After a break, the Vipers rebounded and beat Team Velocity 5-2. Vipers Finish 3rd at ASA Western Nationals!The Vipers went 6-2 in Clovis to capture 3rd place at the 2010 ASA 16U Western Nationals. This was a great way to end a succuessful summer that saw Vipers compete in the Colorado Sparkler, finishing 17th out of 180, the Champions Cup in Irvine and the Best in the West Tournament where they bowed out after losing to the eventual ASA and Premier 16u Champion OC Batbusters.
