Head Coach - Willie Wineberg
Background:
Coach Wineberg grew up in Fairfield, Ohio. He attended Fairfield High School until graduating in 1994. After graduating from high school, Coach Wineberg attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue with a degree in elementary Education in 1999.
Coach Wineberg became a Miamisburg Viking in the fall of 1999. He began teaching 5th grade at Medlar View Elementary for three years. He moved to the 6th grade building, Neff Elementary, in 2003 where he teaches social studies and language arts.
Coach Wineberg is married to his lovely wife, Kristin. They have a boxer named Turk and a cat named Pacer.
Wrestling Background:
Beginning at a very early age, Coach Wineberg has been around wrestling his whole life. He officially started with organized wrestling in 1983, during his second grade year, in the Fairfield Youth Wrestling Club. Willie would continue his wrestling career at Fairfield High School and Purdue University. Some of his wrestling accomplishments include:
*4 time Ohio High School State Champion (first time in division I)
*Cadet National Champion
*Espoir National Champion
*High School All-American
*2 time AAU National Champion
*High School record of 144-2
*4 year letterman at Purdue University
*4th in the Big Tens
*2 time NCAA national qualifier

*Butler County Hall of Fame Inductee
Coaching Background:
This is Coach Wineberg's 10th year at the helm of the Miamisburg Viking Wrestling Program. During that time, there have been 1 All-American, 10 state placers, the school's first 2-time state placer (Justin Sharkey), and 6 district champions including the school's first 2-time district champion (Brent Clausing). Some of his coaching accomplishments include:
