Soggy Day Doesnt Stop Tailgate!
The annual tailgate dinner was held Friday September 12th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. prior to the Viking football game hosting Washburn Rural. Due to the weather the tailgate was moved indoors to the school commons. Booster members cooked up hamburgers, hotdogs and brats with a steady crowd of a little over 500 fans enjoying the meal. The tailgate is a major fundraiser for the booster club with proceeds supporting the coaches wish list that is submitted each year. Many thanks go out to all that attended the event, the volunteers for adapting to the many changes throughout the stormy day and special thanks to Scott Hildebrandt, Robin Brown and Ron Minihan for coordinating this years tailgate.
Watermelon Feed Enjoyed by All!
Annually the SABC hosts a watermelon feed for all the athletes at Seaman High. Over 35 watermelons were served this year. All fall sports athletes and coaches were able to attend and enjoy the cold melons on a hot August day. Thanks to all that helped prepare the melons for the athletes and coordinate the annual event!
Huge Crowd for Annual Membership Kickoff
Tolerating the heat, lines of Viking fans came out to the stadium to purchase their memberships and get first crack at the best reserved seats for football. Every year more and more fans show up to purchase spirit gear, season passes, memberships and seats and this year was no different! Initial sales show reserved seating and memberships are up from last year which brings more fans out to cheer on the Vikes. Thanks to all the volunteers who assisted in the SABC Kickoff and made it work so well!

Annual Dance & Auction - Great Food, Great Friends, Great Dance!
The annual SABC silent auction and dance once again was a great success! In addition to invitations to all the members the club sent out over 100 invitations to local businesses that have supported the club and the Vikings over the years. The annual event give the club the opportunity to say Thank You to all the businesses as we don’t forget the contributions that they make. Once again, the coaches and school staff assisted in serving the guest who attended. Great barbecue was provided by Rob Russell and music by Steve Lockwood. Everyone attending had the opportunity to bid on many silent auctions or participate in the live auctions held throughout the evening. Later everyone danced the night away and had fun relaxing after a year of hard work and fun. With generous bidding and great ticket sales the club grossed over $8300. Thanks to our organizers Scott & Lynda Hildebrandt and Dan & Kim Carlson for their efforts and dedication.
