Welcome to the official website of the Ventura Dodgers Baseball Club. 2012 will be 20th season for the Dodgers team. The Ventura Dodgers Baseball Club is affiliated with the Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL), based in New York, New York. The MSBL is a nationally-based amateur baseball program for adults with local leagues in cities across the USA. Many of these leagues have been operating for over 20 years. Our Club participates in over 50 league and tournament games per year, including travel to Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Palm Springs.
Dodger teams have captured ***EIGHT*** Division/League Championships and six second place Division/League finishes since 1993. The Dodgers were the 2009 Ventura County 36+ Open Division Champions!!!!! Over the last 5 seasons the Dodgers finished the regular season with over a 0.700 winning percentage unmatched by any Ventura 30+ team over that period.
In addition, the Ventura Dodgers Baseball Club has competed in numerous regional and national tournaments. Over the last 4 years the Ventura Dodgers reached the finals or semifinals in 10 tournaments including: 2011 Champion World Series 35+ Wood Cactus Div., 2012 Semifinalist Desert Classic 35+, 2011 Semifinalist Vegas Open 35+, 2010 Runner-Up Vegas Open 35+, 2009 Champion San Luis Obispo Woodie Tourny 25+ Open Labor Day weekend, 2009 Runner Up Vegas Open Tourny 35+, 2009 Semifinalist Palm Springs Desert Classic Tourny 35+ Open, 2008 Runner Up World Series Tourny 35+ Central, 2008 Semifinalist Vegas Open Tourny 35+, 2008 Semifinalist Palm Springs Desert Classic Tourny 35+ Open.

Ventura Dodgers Baseball Club Wins 2011 World Series
Ventura Dodgers concluded a perfect 9-0 tournament by winning the Championship at the 2011 MSBL World Series, 35+ wood, Cactus Division, in Phoenix, AZ. The Dodgers were led by local players Chad Bletscher, Dave Bodwell, Sunny Campbell, Brad Milner, Jason Warren, and Dale Woodard. The Dodgers team included players from southern CA, northern CA, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. The Dodgers finished pool play 6-0 and seeded #1 with wins against South Bay Zephyrs, Arizona Travelers, Colorado Orioles, South Bay Zephyrs, OC Sox, and Phoenix Phillies. The Dodgers collected a 9-5 win against the Zephyrs in Round 1 of the playoffs, and a 3-2 nail-bitter victory over the Calzona Angels in Round 2. Dodgers soundly defeated the Murrieta Mutiny 12-0 to capture the Championship. Julio Lopez was awarded the tourny MVP with 3 wins, 1 save, and 1 hold over the 9 games. Other notable performances included Jason Schmidt, 2 wins, 1 save, 9 hits; Bletscher, 11 hits; Jade Devitt, 1 win, 11 hits; Phil Leavitt, 11 hits; Brian Mitchell, 10 hits; Bodwell, 9 hits; and Ted Calvert, 8 hits.

LOOKING FOR SERIOUS TOURNAMENT PLAYERS

We commonly play in at least 3 tournys per year. These include the Palm Springs Desert Classic in January, Vegas Open in May, and World Series in Phoenix in October. In addition, we may enter other tournys on July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend.
We are looking for advanced level players to complete our roster for 2012 tournaments. Are you (or do you know anyone) a tourny-quality player that may be interested in joining to our 35+ team? Players must turn 35 by 12-31-2012. If you are 33 or 34 during the 2012 calendar year contact me about joining the team too.
