Vansant Vikings: Welcome

Vikings - Bandits History

The Vansant Vikings little league basketball program runs September to October each year. Upon the conclusion of the little league program (9u) players are invited to participate in a new traveling program titled the Buchanan County Bandits (BCB) which is being established in 2011.

The Bandits were initially formed to enable players to compete at an elite level in the junior competitions run by various youth basketball operations.  BCB, now in the early days of the program, provide opportunities for the youth of the area to learn and play the game of basketball in a safe and structured environment.

With your help, the Bandits hope to continue to grow, prosper, and increase the quality of the program. If the interest and help warrants, the Bandits hope to increase their participation to other girls teams in other age levels. The Bandits pride themselves on providing quality coaching, continuing education and development of its coaches as a cornerstone of the program. The club provides programs and opportunities for young players to develop a career path with the ability to play at the highest junior level, participate in tournaments both locally and on a larger scale.

BCB and the Lady Vikings have an exciting future full of dreams and creating exciting memories for parents, coaches and players. With your help, we hope to have a sound financial base and use those fund to provide initiatives and morales helpful both on the court and off.
