Win with Class; Lose with Dignity
This statement has been stressed by the Apple Valley wrestling program as an important pillar to the success of our program and in life overall. In wrestling, as in life, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. We would like to take this opportunity to emphasize to all members of the Apple Valley wresting family to respect all mat officials, opposing wrestlers, coaches and fans.
Good sportsmanship is a point of emphasis for the MSHL. A program has been implemented whereby mat officials will rate the sportsmanship of wrestlers, coaches, and fans. Let’s show the state of Minnesota that the Apple Valley wrestling family can win off the mat as well as on the mat!
Our Philosophy...
At Apple Valley High School we believe success in wrestling, as in life, comes through thoughtful preparation and a sincere commitment to improvement through learning. Opportunities in life are at best difficult to anticipate but preparation can be a constant achievable goal. By working to learn we work to succeed. By growing as people we place ourselves in a position to seize opportunities and achieve personal goals. There is no pretense in such a philosophy. We are what we make of ourselves and what we give of ourselves.
