Valley Vista High School girls' basketball standout, Adrianna Brown, has been nominated as a McDonald's High School All- American. Brown, a senior at Valley Vista, helped to lead the girls' basketball team to the Northwest Region championship last season and looks to help continue the team's success this season. Each year, McDonald's sponsors the High School All- American Basketball recognition program as well as the All-American game. The game, founded in 1978, features the top athletes from across the country. Brown's nomination places her among the top 900 girls' basketball players in the country. Last year's Lady Monsoon basketball team, coached by Rachel Matakas, finished fifth in the state tournament and was led in many categories by Adrianna Brown. She averaged 12.3 points per game, 4 steals per game and 4 assists per game.
