Erin Koeppen: Co-Coach U14

Coach Erin has been playing volleyball since age 11. She has watched the sport evolve over the years but believes that volleyball remains a true dynamic team sport that can be played at any age or ability. Coach Erin believes that volleyball teaches lifelong skills, that what you bring each day to the game can make or break the team.  Balance in life is important; nutrition, conditioning, fine tuning mental and physical skills, taking risks, accepting critical evaluations and growing from them make us stronger in life, keeps us learning and moving forward. She believes that being healthy means feeding your body what it needs to succeed; this starts with food energy, but includes balance in rest, mental and physical conditioning, education, positive attitude and goal setting. She has coached for the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club & is a Girl Scout Leader. She has also worked with REI, running a youth education program for 10 years. She enjoys working with young adults and looks forward to getting to know each of our players and fueling their passion for a lifelong love of volleyball.

Lynne Tarter: Head Coach U13

Coach Lynne has been playing volleyball since she was in 5th grade (33 years!) This is her 3rd year as Head Coach, her first two years were at EVA. This year Lynne is excited to joining Valley View Volleyball Club! Lynne is IMPACT certified, and volunteers in the region to support regional team development to improve the competitive position of the USAV Puget Sound Region.

Coaching has always been in Lynne's life-plan, and she was excited when her own daughter indicated an interest in playing volleyball! Lynne saw an opportunity to both support the development of youth volleyball in the area, and bring her passion and years of team-leading to her daughter's generation.  Through her own volleyball career, Lynne has primarily played setter, but enjoys all positions on the court.  Her career spans elementary-College, playing Division III ball at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

As an adult, Lynne has continued to play USAV competitive volleyball both on club and non-club teams. Lynne joined the StrikeForce volleyball club team for three years, and was voted "most inspirational player" by her coach and fellow teammates. In 2005 her club team went to USAV Nationals where they won the silver medal in the B Division. Lynne continues her love of the game with her teammates (and fellow U13 Coaches) by playing at the USAV Master's Level.

Lynne lives in Woodinville with her two children Bobby (14) & Elaine (12), 5 chickens and 2 cats. She works full time for Berlitz Inc. Lynne is also pursuing her Master's Degree. She enjoys volunteering and chairs the Wellington Elementary PACE Program.

Karen Jaskolka: Assistant Coach U13

Coach K has coached at the U12 level for the past two years as part of the coaching trio with Coach Lynne Tarter & Andy Norton. It is the love of the game coupled with a passion for teaching that brings Coach K to the court.

Coach K was introduced to volleyball over 30 years ago when she was in elementary school.  She continued to play through high school on the Varsity Team at Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, NY and over the years has competed in tournaments and leagues - on the sand (2s), grass (2s & 4s) and indoor women's 6's.  In the early 2000's, Coach K was part of StrikeForce Volleyball Club which ran a number of men's and women's USAV teams as well orchestrating numerous summer KOB format tournaments (coined as "Duke and Duchess"). As a part of the StrikeForce United Women's USAV team, Coach K libero'd on the 2005 National Silver medal team (B Division) and the 2006 National Gold team.  In 2007 she was the libero on team SAC (Seattle Athletic Club) which placed 5th in the BB Division at Nationals.

She currently plays on a Women's Masters 35+ team as either setter or libero (depending on the day) and enjoys her indoor women's league with Coach Tarter.
