The Maryland "Mud Bowl" Ends Hornets Season
The Virginia Hornets, after a rain delay for their first playoff game for the 2009 season traveled to play the Maryland Sting and found more of the same. On a mud puddle with grass scattered on it the Hornets mounted a valiant effort but ultimately came up short in the 24-14 loss to the Sting.
The Hornets now look forward to participating in the rebirth of one of the biggest football games on the East Coast, The Armstrong-Walker Commemorative Football Classic. For more information about this game and activities please visit the website at www.armstrongwalkerclassic.org
