Hornets end regular season on a down note

Your Virginia Hornets traveled to Virginia Beach this week to contest the Southern VA Trojans for not only a win, but first place in the division as well as homefield advantage. The Hornets beat the Trojans in their first meeting earlier this season by 8 points so the Trojans would have to win by at least that many to take first place and homefield advantage. The game was a close contest between 2 powerhouse teams with the Trojans coming out on top, 24-18, a 6 point deficit for the Hornets, but not enough to lose first place.

The #1 Hornets(7-2) are to take on the #4 Thunder(3-6) at home on October 18th at 7pm in the first round of the playoffs on the push to another championship. Also in first round division action is the 6-2 Southern VA Trojans taking on the 5-4 Stallions in Virginia Beach.

Upcoming Practices(see calender for full list of events/practices);

Practice is Tuesday through Thursday from 7-9pm at Westover Elementary school.

The Hornets are believers in you practice how you play and competition will be fierce amongst players as all position are for the taking.  If it's one thing the Hornets don't lose, its Heart. Swarm on Hornets... Fear the Sting.
