"AAA" Championship Trophy named in honor of R. Leroy Floyd
  Whereas: Dixie Youth Baseball Inc. is primarily a youth baseball program of youth 12 years of age and under.

And Whereas: The incorporators of the program were the late W. H. Harth, the late Daniel H. Jones, Matthew Goyak President of Dixie Youth Baseball, Inc., and Thomas S. Linton Columbia South Carolina Attorney. Elected that each state in the program is represented on the Board with additional members.


And Whereas: Each state may represent Dixie Youth Baseball Inc., with three National Board members and a State Director, to serve on the Dixie Youth Baseball Inc. National Board.


And Whereas: R. Leroy Floyd, National Director of Virginia, who served for over Twenty-Nine years as a National Board member of Dixie Youth Baseball Inc.


And Whereas: R. Leroy Floyd, National Director for Virginia Dixie Youth Baseball, has devoted his life to the youth of Virginia Dixie Youth Baseball, in promoting the development of strong character, a right attitude, a sense of responsibility, and citizenship in youngsters, to become the leaders of tomorrow.


Therefore be Resolved: That at the 2005 Virginia Dixie Youth State Meeting, the Leagues of the Virginia Dixie Youth Baseball Organization unanimously elected, that the Virginia Dixie Youth Baseball, "AAA" League Championship Trophy be named,
