unless my eyes deceive me...a mistake has been made for the 11/12 majors standings. WSLL(N) is not 2-1 they are 1-2. Lets get that corrected in a hurry :-(

Lowell, although our paths did not cross too often except for tournaments and other D9 activities, I can see the evidence of all the great things you did for District 9 and Central Springfield. Your dedication and tireless efforts gave many children in Northern Virginia the opportunity to experience LL Baseball in a truly positive way. My only regret is that I didn't have more opportunities to work directly with you to learn more about the LL Baseball organization.

We will all miss Loretta and you. Hope you enjoy your retirement, and hope to see you around the ball park some day!

Best regards,
Manny Aponte

Lowell,

Your guidance and understanding while I was involved in administration for Dale Little Little League were instrumental in my success.

Thank you for all of your help and support!

Thanks for your love of Little League Baseball, I hope you take your message with you to the South.

Congrats on the field dedication! (It is a nicer field than the Rec Center field we were working on!)

I'd still rather have you here than there!

Your friend,

Scott Jacobs
Former DCLL President

Lowell, thank you for all your hard work over these many years of dedicated service to the youth of Northern Virginia. Your exceptional leadership District IX has made the experience of volunteering and coaching in Little League Baseball all that much more meaningful for the rest of us. Sincerest best wishes for the future. John Burns, WSLL Player Agent

Lowell, you may remember the first thing I did after becoming President was to invite you to speak to our rather large board. I did so because I knew that what volunteers need more than anything is encouragement, understanding of the rewards of volunteering -- and that, when it came to youth sports, kids had to come first. I take full credit for that stroke of brilliance, as you served as the perfect role model for anything I might have wanted to tell them or wanted them to become.

You've held a thankless job for many years, after holding about every other job you could hold in your home league. I always was proud to call you "my boss," and always was eager to turn to you to celebrate a success, or to seek support for a problem. I hope your example will inspire others to follow, so our district always will be strong and its leagues will be supportive of each other.

Finally, I hope and know you'll follow our fortunes, and that we can share them with you. As such, you are hereby named an honorary member of West Springfield Little League (your volunteer check can be made out to the league and is, of course, returnable upon donation of 4 hours of honest labor!)

Lowell,

Over the years I have met many fine people in Little League and you are certainly one the finest. I want to thank you for all you have done for the kids at West Springfield LL and everyone in District 9. We are very fortunate to have had your leadership and I for one will miss seeing you around the fields. Congratulations on a job well done and Good Luck in your retirement !!

Lowell,
It seems like yesterday that I first met you in the early 90s -- followed by your brief departure to "quickstart" District 15. It was definitely a win-win for everyone when you returned to take the leadership role in District 9. Certainly, we League Presidents benefited from your leadership but more importantly, the players in District 9 benefited through the implementation of programs such as the Annual Fun Tournament. On behalf of the many parents, players and league personnel who passed through the "gates of Trailside" during my tenure as President, THANKS for your support of Little League Baseball! Joan and I wish you continued success and happiness as you "retire" to North Carolina!

Lowell, words cannot express the deep gratitude that all of the CSLL families past and present want to convey. You are a true leader who believes in the basics of LLB and your leadership will be missed. Thank you for your dedication to LLB in our district and best of luck to you and Loretta. Tex Carey said it best "you will find no better friend in LLB than Lowell Easterly"
