This is the official site for Virginia District 13 Little League. It includes baseball and softball all-stars photos, teams, brackets and scores. JUNIOR SOFTBALL HOSTED BY DISTRICT 13 IN POUND VIRGINIA


2008 VA State JUNIOR Softball Tournament will be hosted by district 13 in Pound. The games begin Friday at 9:00 am and will continue until a winner is determined Sunday, July 21.



9-10 SOFTBALL
 
Clintwood girls are the District 13 2008 9-10 year old Little League Softball Champions.  They will travel to Tuckahoe for the State Torunament beginning July 18th.  Good Luck Clintwood!!!!


11-12 SOFTBALL

Coeburn’s Little League Major Division (11-12) softball all-stars had a 13-3 win over Norton’s girls in the division’s championship game at McClure River Little League Field.

The Coeburn squad advances to the state tournament at Virginia Beach with plenty of state-level experience. The team has five players who have been into state tournament competition four times and six players who have been there three times. The Coeburn champion team outscored their opponents 52-7 in its four weeks during the district tournament.

JUNIOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL

Wise girls are the District 13 2008 Junior League Softball Champions. They will not have to travel very far because District 13 is hosting the tournament in Pound. Good Luck Wise!!


SENIOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL

9-10 BASEBALL

Wise 9-10 year-old Little League team won the District 13 Championship.  They will represent our district in the Virginia State Little League Tournament in Leesburg located in the Washington D.C. area.  The tournament begins on July 17th.  Good Luck to Wise team!!!!


11-12 BASEBALL

Lee East defeated Big Stone Gap in the District 13 Majors All-Star Tournament.  The will represent District 13 in Virginia State Major All-Star Tournament hosted by District 15.  Click on the link below to to view the schedule.

JUNIOR BASEBALL


The Big Stone Gap Junior All-Stars won two straight games against undefeated Coeburn to make it to the State Tournament in Honaker.


Big Stone Gap took the first game 5-2, forcing the second and deciding game. Coeburn put up a fight, but Big Stone Gap won game two, 4-2.

Tre Mullins pitched the first game, giving up only five hits. Jacob Huff pitched the second game and allowed two runs in the third and gave up a total of five hits a well.

Mullins and Austin Garrett each had two RBIs for Big Stone Gap and Mullins scored three runs and Huff scored two runs.



SENIOR BASEBALL

The Big Stone Gap Senior League All-Stars defeated Norton 5-4 for the District 13 title and a place in the state tournament in Winchester. The tournament will start Thursday July 17.

Norton led the game 4-0 until Big Stone Gap got on the board in the bottom of the third with two runs of its own. Gil Lusk had an RBI-single that drove in Lucas Fannon and Travis Pippin scored on an error.

Nathan Baker kept Norton from scoring the rest of the game. With Baker on the mound, the offense began to pick pick up in the fifth inning. The score was tied at 4-4 with a sacrifice fly by Kenny Burke and an RBI-single from Greg Bolling.

In the sixth Big Stone Gap took the lead when Ryan Baker scored on an error.
