16U VA Bulldawgs Select: Welcome

The Virginia Bulldawgs Select went 3-3, finishing in 4th place in the Virginia District Tournament this weekend. Turnovers continued to haunt the Dawgs as they continued to fall behind early throughout the tournament.  The team entered the tournament with seven players on the roster and appeared to be fatigued in the final game for 3rd place against the Hampton Hoyas, which was their sixth game in less than forty-eight hours. Hampton hit a desperation three-point shot at the end of regulation and forced overtime. The Dawgs had an opportunity to force a second overtime but hit the back iron as time expired. The team is off for a week and will resume play the week of April 21-22 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Dawgs appear to be getting in mid-season form and look forward to competing in the Big Shot tournament in two weeks.
