2010 Baseball and Softball Registration
On-line registration for the 2010 Baseball and Softball season will be closing February 13, 2010 at 11:59 PST.

3 ways to submit player proof of Age and Residents requirement documents:
1. Fax coversheet along with original proof of age and resident documents to 757-426-2141
2. Email coversheet along with scanned original proof of age and residents documents to playeragent@vbll.org
3. Bring original documents to VBLL February 17, 2010 from 5:30PM – 7:30PM
NEW PLAYERS: Please email your address to playeragent@vbll.org to verify that you live within our boundaries PRIOR to registering on-line.
New and returning players MUST provide proof of age by original birth certificate, military ID, or for those born abroad of a parent or parents who are U.S. Citizens any official government document issued by a U.S. federal agency is acceptable.
Three (3) proofs of residence are required for all registered players. Driver’s license, voter registration cards, school records, welfare records, federal/state/local records, support payment records, homeowner or tenant property insurance, and/or utility bills (may not be three (3) utility bills) are acceptable. A reminder about "special requests": Requests are just those…requests. There is no guarantee that they can be honored. There are no requests in the Minor and above divisions of either baseball or softball. Requests in those divisions will not be considered.
There is no guarantee a player can be placed on a team after regular registration has closed. All late registrations and questions are to be emailed to playeragent@vbll.org. No phone calls will be accepted and special requests cannot be honored.

Parents Role In Little League
Virginia Beach Local Little League is an entirely volunteer organization. VBLL depends on adults like YOU to organize and conduct every aspect. Not only do adults serve as administrators, volunteer coaches, and umpires they also help with field maintenance, fund-raising, concessions, and numerous other special projects.
Your willingness to exchange time and effort for your child's benefit and enjoyment is very important to the functioning of YOUR Little League.
Stop by the volunteer table during registration to help YOUR child's league by volunteering to manage, coach, be a team parent, or help with field maintenance. There are many more positions that we need YOUR assistance.

2010 Tryout Information
Virginia Beach Little League holds a TRYOUT for all new baseball players ages 9-16 (as of April 30, 2010) and softball players ages 7-16 (as of December 31, 2009). Returning Spring 2009 players in Minor or below divisions of baseball and softball are also required to tryout except as noted below.
Pre T-Ball, T-Ball, Coach Pitch and Minor Farm Baseball players will not try out. The one exception is for players of league age 7 who would like to play in the Minor Farm division will attend a skills assessment overseen by the Player Agent and managed by directors.
Every registered player will be placed on a team. The tryouts give the opportunity for each participant to throw, run, hit, pitch and field under the direction of the Player Agent. Tryouts are observed by Managers of the applicable age group.
Tryouts are MANDATORY of all players who are new to Virginia Beach Little League.
Special Note for baseball players: Age 7 players in the Minor Farm draft pool not selected to a Minor Farm team will be placed on a Coach Pitch team. Baseball players age 8 in the Minor pool who are not selected to a Minor team will be placed on a Minor Farm team. Baseball players aged 11 not selected for a Major League team will be placed in on a Minor team.
