The Philadelphia Indoor Lacrosse League was founded in 2008.  It is a highly competitive Indoor Lacrosse League managed by US Indoor Lacrosse (USIL).  The P.I.L.L. plays a Fall season and a Winter season.  The Fall season is a part of the newly formed Atlantic Indoor Lacrosse League.  The A.I.L.L. consists of four leagues - Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington and Boston.  The A.I.L.L. plays under US Indoor Lacrosse Rules and regulations.  The Champion from each league competes in an annual tournament; playing for the Eagle Cup and to be named the Atlantic Indoor Lacrosse League Champion. The Champion of the A.I.L.L. has the honor of hosting the next years championship where they want.  The Eagle Cup remains their property for the year.  The P.I.L.L. also plays a highly competitive Winter season until late March.
