Union City Little League: Spring 2013 Divisions
Coach Pitch Division
Instructional/Developmental Non-Competitive division where children further their understanding of positions and concepts of baseball. No score is kept. Children are pitched to by coaches. Coaches are on the field at all times to assist and instruct.
AAA - Minor League
Instructional/Developmental competitive baseball is played in this division. Players are drafted. Scores of games are maintained and umpires call balls and strikes. Standings are not kept during the regular season. However, there is an all inclusive play-off series at the end of the season to determine a divisional champion. Children pitch with strict pitch count guidelines and coaches are availible assist but are not required to be on the field.
Major League
Highly competitive division where standings are kept. Players are drafted based on skill exhibition at try-outs. Double elimination play-offs based on regular season standings are used to determine division champion.
T-Ball Rookie League
Instructional/Non-Competitive division where children learn the basic positions and concepts of baseball. No score is kept. Children hit off of a Tee. Coaches are on the field at all times for safety and to assist and instruct.
