Union Beach Soccer Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of youth soccer players in the local area. Our mission is to provide quality technical training while allowing each player to realize their individual potential. We strive to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, comraderie, safety, and self-esteem which will carry through to the player’s daily life. The Association administers both recreation and travel soccer programs to boys & girls ages 3 ½ through high school in the fall and spring seasons. We accept out-of-town residents as well. Our recreation program consists of 4 divisions grouped by state age standards. There are 16-18 recreation teams for ages 3 ½ to age 9 1/2 which play their games on Saturdays. Our travel program consists of 4 travel teams, currently U10 and above, which compete in the Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association league usually on Sundays. Our travel teams consistently do well in their divisions and have had several flight winnings through the years. We take pride in the coaching staff we have here in Union Beach and the beautiful grass fields at Helen Hayes Park. A snack stand, clean bathroom facilities, and a playground adds to the great facility. We have monthly meetings throughout the seasons at Union Beach Borough Hall. Times are usually posted on game schedules, at the snack stand, and on our website. All are welcome to attend. If a parent intends on coming to a meeting, please contact a board member to ensure the meeting time. We are always in need of volunteers for help with the snack stand, picture day, awards day, fundraising, and coaching.
Please check this website, as well as the board next to the snack stand, regularly for updates.
We look forward to seeing everyone out there on the field with positivity and enthusiasm. Our league is only as good as the people who support it. Enjoy the season and lets create some more memorable moments for all.

Subject: IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION TO ALL COACHES & CLUB REGISTRARS
Sending this information along to all our coaches and clubs - please be aware that all CARDED COACHES WILL NEED THIS CERTIFICATION FOR FALL 2011!
Clubs/Coaches: Governor Christie passed a Law on Sports Concussion Injury Prevention and Management back in December 2010 (see attached). If you have coached (or are coaching or know of someone currently coaching) HS Soccer you may have been informed about this and your Board Of Education (BOE) may have required you to take either the National Federation of High Schools Sports Concussion On-Line Training Program OR the Centers for Disease Control On-Line Training Program (see below).
Regardless, this law will also begin to impact all Youth Soccer Programs run through NJYS that apply to rent out/use HS or Public Parks and Recreation Fields -- besides turning in a Certificate of Insurance, School/Parks and Recs will require at some point start to require proof that all coaches using these complexes show proof of training in Sports Concussions.
Bottom line YOU MUST take the On Line Course -- NJYS will require coaches submit proof of having taken this course. Get prepared now-- if you want to coach! Here are the links to obtain said training--it’s simple and FREE
