Our team in its present format was formed in 2003 and has now been promoted three times to our present level of competition, namely Level 3. At the end of 2004 we were ranked 53rd and have since moved up to our current ranking which is 19th in the Province of Ontario. An outstanding achievement for such a short period.
In our 2006 season we won the top spot of CGSL U15 Division 1, with an outstanding 16-1-1 record. We also won the League Cup with a score of 4-0-0, 20 goals for and 0 against.
In our 2007 season playing in the new division we competed well against all teams ending the season in the middle of the standings, and in the process shocking some favourites. All this propelled us to be ranked second highest in our division at the present time. We are looking to be ranked number 1 in our division at the end of 2008, Summer Season.
In the Tournaments that we participated in over the season, we have gone to the finals everytime. In the process we have won one cup in the higher age group, beaten an OYSL team 3-0, and fought in the finals of the Syracuse Tournament against a U.S. team that is ranked second in the States.
Our girls continue in their winning ways. Our U-17 girls team entered into an indoor tournament over the holidays at The Docks. The results were: 5 games played, 5 wins, 12 goals and 0 against.
This upcoming Summer Season we plan on competing in showcase tournaments in the U.S. and look forward to being promoted to OYSL.
