UMD Dance Show is April 4, 2009! We hope to see everyone there!
*registration forms are going in the mail and should get to you by the week of March 3-7.
Information for Spectators:
Doors will open to all spectators at exactly 5:30 pm. If spectators arrive before that, they will be able to wait in the lobby of the Romano Gym. Tickets are:
$5.00 for adults
$3.00 for students/kids (students must have student id with them)
The show will start at 6:00 pm, with a short 10-minute intermission, and last approximately an hour and a half. Concessions, flowers and t-shirts will be on sale in the lobby.
Information for Directors and Dancers:
Hello to all coaches and directors. It’s time again for the UMD Dance Team’s Annual Performance Show and your school/studio is invited to participate. Enclosed is all the information that you need to know and fill out. If you plan on participating please return all necessary information and the MUSIC for each routine by March 22nd. See you on March 29th!!!
- The registration forms are to be filled out for every dance so that we can make a program and have information for our DJ to announce before every performance. Please make a separate copy for each dance. The registration forms are due March 22nd so we can account for all dances that will be in the show. Click on the link at the bottom of this page to download the forms needed for registration in the UMD Dance Team Show.
- Every Dancer must have a filled out waiver form that is to be turned in upon arrival to the registration table in order to participate in the show. Please make copies for all participants. The participant waiver form is included in the link below.
- Dance groups should arrive anywhere from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Optional five-minute per dance practice times on our gym floor with our DJ will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. You can sign-up for a time upon arrival at the registration table. Practice times start at 4:30 and go until 5:30 so it’s the coach/director’s discretion when to have each group arrive at UMD (please be aware that practice times are only available if there’s sufficient time).
- After sending in your music also please bring an additional copy of your music IN CD FORM ONLY .
- Dancers will have a dressing room where they change and keep their things. Only dancers and coach/directors are allowed in this area, parents must remain in the lobby or the gym.
- Concessions, flowers and t-shirts will be on sale in the lobby.
- A trainer will be on site and available for dancers. If you need a trainer please see a member of the UMD Dance Team and one of us will direct you to the trainer.

- High School Teams: Even though your season will be done, come participate for fun with any amount of your team. Otherwise, it’s a great opportunity to watch and see what college dance team is all about!
