The build up to this game was extremely intense with a disagreement before the kickoff about dividing lines for warm ups adding an extra edge to the game. It was a clean game but everyone seemed to throw themselves into contact that little bit harder than usual. The Vikings started quickly with QB Liam Ryan throwing to TE Marc Ashworth in the corner of the endzone after some great running by Adrian Garvey.

The Rebels responded quickly with a 3 play drive that finished in a 25 yard TD pass from Dennehy to Carter. They then put another TD on the board with a long pass to Flynn to go ahead 14-7. Adrian Garvey then punched a 2 yard touchdown in to tie the game up in the fourth quarter. Each team then had drives that could have won the game but each one stalled, including a Rebels field goal that went off the post.
