Preseason Friendly a success
The Vikings played the Philadelphia Blue Flame in a pre-season friendly as part of the Paudi O'Se Football festival in Dingle. It was a resounding success with a competetive and entertaining game played in pretty poor conditions. The final score was 22-0 to the Blue Flame but the Vikings had a strong showing, with Adrian Garvey and Marc Ashworth the standouts for the Vikings. The Vikes used the game to give game time experience to some promising young rookies who will feature heavily during the 2009 season. They came up against American opposition and performed admirably. Lachlan McKinnon and Mike O'Connor did well on defence and Brendan Curtain and John Cannon had strong showings on the Vikings O.
As this is a family website the night out in Dingle cant be described but suffice to say it was epic!!
Thanks to all the supporters who made the trek down.
