Welcome to the UL Vikings American Football Club
The UL Vikings are the defending Irish American Football Champions for the last three years. This entertaining and physical sport is played throughout the country and is the fastest growing sport in Ireland. We are one of three college teams and have been in operation since 1999. There are 20 teams throughout the 32 counties and our season runs from March to August.
2010 will be the most important year in the history of the UL Vikings. We are hosting the Inaugural College Bowl, an Intervarsity competition in November. Then we are invited back to the Paudi O'Se Football Festival to play the NYPD and Philidelphia Blue Flame. Then it is back to the regular IAFL action as we hope to retain our Shamrock Bowl title and win the league title, a feat that has eluded us in recent years. We are also taking part in the Atlantic Cup, a big European tournament. It will be an eventful year to say the least!
Senior Team: Are you over 18? If you think you have what it takes to be an American Football player and are from the Munster area or are planning to attend the University of Limerick then contact us about membership. No experience necessary and we provide equipment and coaching. Email ulvikings@gmail.com for an immediate response. Training will begin on Monday 14th of September at 6 o clock behind the Sports Bar in UL.
The best way to get in contact is through email. If you have any questions just ask.
