| To the Urbandale Iowa, Junior Allstar Baseball Team: I congratulate you on winning the Iowa State Junior Baseball Tournament. I wish each and everyone of you well and good luck at the Central Region Junior Baseball Tournament. I know it will be a lot of fun for you and provide you with good experiences. I followed your progress at the Iowa State Baseball Tournament and will continue to follow your progress at the regionals even though my path takes me though Columbia, Missouri rather than Fort Wayne, Indiana. | Guys. .I'm SO proud of each and every one of you. You guys played with heart. I shed a tear for you guys tonight, just feeling your pain, having been there myself. Look around you and cherish the friendships you've made with your teammates. Trust me on this one. All of us. .Everyone who played on the All-Star Teams together from 1980 through 1983. .We are all still like brothers. You've just made memories that will last you a lifetime. Hold your heads high and know that you've made so many of us proud to have played in the Urbandale Little League and SO proud of you. .All of you. .God Bless and GET EM NEXT YEAR! | WAY TO GO! What an incredible comeback. .And then the relief pitching shut em down with 3 k's in the 6th. . I am so proud of you and so many of us from all over the country, who call our hometown Urbandale.. We are all on facebook going NUTS! You make me proud to say I was once an Urbandale Little League All-Star. .All you boys should be so proud. .But don't rest on this, go in with the same fire and enthusiasm into the next game. In 1981, our 13 year old All-Star Team came out of the losers bracket to take State and Regionals, only to get blown out in Nationals. .My point here is. .Sometimes it's good to get that one loss out of the way. .It's more exciting to play on the edge. .And YOU GUYS HAD ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT TODAY! WAY TO GO URBANDALE. .I'm SO PROUD OF YOU ALL! |

| Congratulations to the Urbandale Little League Team for advancing on in the Little League World Series. I played in the Urbandale Little League from 1976 - 1984 and the best memories of my life come from that time period. Our 13 year old team, coached by Jim McNabb and Bob Schreck won state and went on to regionals. . It's the memories that I cherish. Good luck to the Urbandale Little League and GO GET EM!
