General Information
IB INFORMATIONAL PARENT MEETING: TBA
The International Baccalaureate Diploma program is a rigorous pre-university course of study that meets the needs of highly motivated secondary students. The goals of IB are to ensure "intellectual rigor and high academic standards, to teach young people to relate the experiences of the classroom to the outside world, and to assist students in becoming critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and informed participants" in their communities and in the world. The program provides an international perspective by encouraging students to understand and explore the history and character of different cultures.
All IB Diploma candidates are required to engage in the study of Languages, Sciences, Mathematics, and Humanities in the final two years of their secondary schooling. The intent of the program is that students should learn how to learn, how to analyze, how to reach considered conclusions about people, their languages and literature, their ways in society, and the scientific forces of the environment.
