FIELD HOCKEY NEWS
Fall 2013 UDJAA Field Hockey
REGISTRATION: Fee is $80 (May 1 to May 31, 2013)
Late Registration Fee: $105 ($80 + $25 late fee - June 1 to August 25)

SEASON: Sunday, September 8- Sunday, November 3
LOCATION: Spark Fields (located behind UDHS near Susquehanna Road)

TIME: 1:00-3:00pm

AGES: Girls in grades 2nd-8th during fall 2013
.
PROGRAM: UDJAA Field Hockey is an instructional program with a focus on the fundamentals of the game, teaching skills and strategy through drills and small field scrimmages. We play 4-5 "Play Days" with outside field hockey clubs each season, with games taking place on the Spark Field during the regular Sunday sessions. There is no mid-week or travel commitment.

TEAMS: Girls are divided into teams within 3 age groups: 2nd/3rd grades, 4th/5th grades, and 6th/7th/8th grades. Each team is coached by 2 UDHS Varsity players.

EQUIPMENT: All players need a stick, ball, shinguards (same as used for soccer), sneakers,cleats, mouthgard and water bottle. In addition, goggles/eye protection are required for all players in the 6th/7th/8th grade division. Goggles are recommended for players in 2nd/3rd and 4th/5th grade leagues as well.
