News: Sharks fall to Leeds Celtics

Sharks fall to Leeds Celtics
Leeds travelled to divisional rivals Hull looking to extend their unbeaten record. Leeds won the toss and chose to receive the ball. Hull’s defence had a shaky start, allowing a couple of first downs before forcing Leeds to punt. A defensive stalemate ensued, which was broken in the 2nd quarter after a recovered punt gave Leeds excellent field position inside the ten. Leeds scored on a 5 yard pass from Alex Fisher to James Parkhouse. The extra point was good, leaving the score at 7-0 at the half. The Sharks received the ball after the half and the offence took to the field. After good running and receptions from Sharks TE duo of Phil Fitzpatrick and James Tait Leeds forced the punt. After strong defence, a second error on the punt gave Leeds good field position inside the 20. However, the Sharks Defence stood firm, and Leeds eventually kicked a 27 yard field goal from the boot of Mike Cardinal. The final score of the game came on a 25 yard pass from Alex Fisher to Chris Kuc. The PAT was no good, leaving the score at 16-0.
