The Sharkettes:
The UCH (Universities and Colleges of Hull) Sharkettes are the attractive side of the team. They shiver on the side line for most of the match only to perform complicated half time routines, show a bit of leg and excitedly shout 'WHIP-IT'! Working hard inbetween games to create and learn new rouitnes, the girls are able to transform this to competitions in the spring months.
UCH Sharkettes: The History
The UCH Sharkettes have been an integral part of the UCH Sharks organisation since its inception all those years ago.
The Sharkettes cheerleading squad perform dance/performance routinnes on Sharks game days, as well as performing in National Competitons and University Events. In an average season they will also perform at regional sports events such as Leeds United FC and Hull FC Rugby League. The Sharkettes have also performed at national events such as the CollegeBowl final, and other major showpieces. The Sharkettes have had successful exposure on TV, performing on 'This Morning...' and 'The Big Breakfast'
As a university squad the Sharkettes is one of the most respected in the country, and is repeatedly asked to make guest performances.
The Sharkettes have also always had a brilliant working relationship with the Humberside and Lincolnshire Cheerleading squad (The LadyBirds) based in Lincoln. These two organisations have worked together on a number of occasions to great affect and we always look forward to working with 'the gals from across the Humber!'
