Hi There,

If any former Shark or Sharkette stumbles across this site, please feel free to get in touch with us by posting here or on the Messageboard. This Website is useful for getting in contact again with those ex-players and Cheerleaders who may just happen to stumble across it, and want to get back in touch or just say Hi.

The Hull University American Football Club continues to have have a very active and increasing Old Boys set-up, who meet up for a weekend in Hull every January/February, with attendees including former Players and Cheerleaders from almost every year since the formation of the club in the early 80's.

Every now and again somebody gets in touch with us to say Howdy, or better still, attends the annual Old Boys Weekend, re-uniting with friends from their past and making some new ones.

If you are a former Player or Cheerleader, please leave a message here, send an email or post on the messageboard to say "Hello"! If you want to get in touch with anyone you remember from your era, we will try to make it happen - the "Whales" have an email chat group with over a hundred posters, so there is no doubt that you will know somebody on there, and they in turn will remember you.

So, if you are an ex Shark or Sharkette, what the Hell are you waiting for??? Don't be Shy!!!! Let us know that you are still out there, doing well, and that you have fond memories of your time spent with the UCH Sharks/ UCH Sharkettes, we would be delighted to hear from you. Below is a list of Contact email addresses : -

Unity trials
We are looking for highly motivated, talented cheerleaders to advance British cheerleading as part of the first and only dedicated Level 6 squad in the country. A great wealth of experience is not mandatory - we are also looking for potential and the cheerleaders of the
future. Trials are free if you attended the BUCF conference in Birmingham over the summer but will cost the small sum of £3.00 if you didn't - even if you have only recently started cheerleading please come along and give it a go; if nothing else, you may well make new friends and, more importantly, improve your skills as a result!

Trials for the North of England are on Saturday the 21st of October:
Nottingham Trent University - 11am to 5pm
Trials for the South of England are on Sunday the 22nd of October:
The University of Hertfordshire - 11am to 5pm

All are welcome, regardless of experience. We are looking for stunters, tumblers, dancers and jumpers or any combination of the above (please note, tumbling is NOT essential but if you can then great!) The judging panel will consist of UNIty AllStar coaches Ant and Tori from the BUCF board, as well as a guest judge to retain impartiality in the form of Angela Brown, head coach of the Ascension Eagles. Trials will take the form of a cheer clinic, with proper panel judging of groups, pairs or individuals as becomes necessary. Cheerleaders will learn and perform a short dance/motion routine, take part in a stunting session, tumble if able and perform a toe touch, a pike jump, a herkie, and another jump of their choice.

We do expect commitment from all those who are successful but we also anticipate a lot of fun. Training will be one weekend a month in Birmingham (Saturday and Sunday morning), with occasional local sessions in other major centres around England. The proposed first competition will be FC Scotland in May, as it is unlikely that many university squads will be entering, thus avoiding clashes under the double duty rule. The squad will also perform exhibition routines at various other competitions.

If you wish to attend trials please email your name and/or the names of those from your team indicating which session you will be attending to bucf@hotmail.co.uk
If you have any further questions or would like more information please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thanks to all of you committee in advance - any questions call me!!

Great work on your website. I was thinking, how did you do the stats and how did ya get them in those boxes. May be a cheap question, but I need to know.

Just figured I might see what the sharks are all about. Love the Neon Green and Black uniforms! You guys must glow at night and make great targets for the QB. Must be nice as well to have cheerleaders. We could have cheerleaders, but I guess it would be a bit pointless to be cheering to the 12 people at our game. All joking aside good luck this season! Thanks for checking us out. The cashman #15 on your program #1 in your hearts. By the way if any of you guys end up down in OZ on a working holiday or something, we are always looking for extra talent.
