North-Central Indiana's 18U Class A FastPitch Team

Welcome to the Indiana Twisters 18u website, we as a coaching staff are looking forward with working with the 2010 addition of the 18u Twisters. This is the 4th year at 18u for the current coaching staff and looking forward to many more. Thanks for visiting our site.

We are currently looking to add another player to our team for the 2010 season due to a late departure of a returning player. If interested in joining the 2010 Indiana Twisters starting this fall contact Ron Bramer @ 765-412-9253

Twisters finished in the top 7 at the ASA Northern Nationals

With the lost of Abbie and Mallory due to illiness and injury the Twisters pulled into Bloomington pretty shorthanded. The team really came together and put a string of wins together which put the Twisters in the final day of play. But the wear and tear of playing shorthanded over the last 3 weeks finally caught up with the gritty Twisters and a final 4 berth was not to be. We are saying goodbye to two great long time Twister players Meg Teller and Kelsey Mullen along with one year player Abbie Tolen who now will start their college careers this fall. Once a Twisted sister, always a Twisted sister! Good Luck

Northern Illinois Lightning Summer Bash

With the rain Friday we were reduced to 1 pool game to determine how to seed the bracket play starting Saturday afternoon. We were playing againist the River Rock Rage and it was looking bleak going into the 5th inning down 0-3, we had a leadoff triple in the bottom of the 5th  from Meg Teller who then scored on a sac by Abbie Tolan and this was followed up by a blast from Megan Mitchell that one bounced to the base of the 300' fence for a in the park home run to cut the lead to 1. In the bottom of the 7th the Twisters resorted to small ball and was able to get Katie McCool and Meg Teller on with with bunts, then Sarah McIIrath had a doulble to tie the game. The Rage elected to intentionally walk Megan (after a 275+ shot before that was the right thing to do) Brooke Jordan hoisted a fly ball to left which allowed Meg to easily score on the tag up for the Twister win! We will start bracket play at 6:15pm Saturday againist the Wisconsin Bandits.

MusicCity Hits tourney with first game 6/10/09

It was a rough start to our season with being shorthanded and in a really tough pool. This experience should really pay off later this summer in the fact our pool of 6 had 3 of the final 4 teams of this tourney with the number one seed of our pool winning the tourney.

On to Elgin!

Indiana Twisters

We are an Organization based in Lafayette, fielding a top-notch travel team for 18 and under players. We accept girls from anywhere in the state. Our goal is to field hard-working, competitive teams who retain their love of the game.

Our commitment to you:

We desire to form a partnership with parents in the developing of life and softball skills in their daughters.

We will teach the fundamentals and advanced skills in a positive and challenging manner. This includes the mental aspect of the fastpitch game.

We will seek out the most competitive tourneys.

We desire to build a team that can grow together and move up through the age groups. This will help in building team chemistry and in building on the foundation of solid fundamentals.

We will provide the most positive and experienced coaching possible.

We will try to find out what motivates each player and treat her in a manner most conducive to her makeup.

Our teams have a reputation for sportsmanship and grace in winning or losing.
