Welcome to the web site of the Thomas Worthington Cardinals High School Softball team. The Cardinals are a member of the Ohio Capital Conference. As part of the 2006-2007 OCC Division Realignment, Thomas Worthington is in the Central Division along with Central Crossing, Delaware Hayes, Marysville, Pickerington North and Westerville Central. It could be argued this is one of the toughest divisions in all of Ohio.
The TWHS Girls Softball team has made tremendous progress over the last few years to become one of Ohio's premier programs. Since 2002, the Lady Cards have achieved some very impressive records, earning three Ohio Capital Conference championships, a District title, and have been ranked in the top 10 in the state for two of the past three years. In 2007, the Lady Cards made it to the regional playoffs for the first time ever in TWHS Softball history.
The team's reputation is growing and has even earned them an invitation to the 2008 Wendy's Classic in Ashland, OH. This tournament features only the best in girls high school softball from around the nation.
The success of our program would not be possible without the support of our families, coaches, players, and community. A great deal of work has gone into making TWHS Softball what it is today. We would like to thank all of those who have invested their time, money, and resources for giving us the opportunity to be successful. And we invite everyone to come and enjoy what is sure to be another exciting season of Fastpitch on the Flats as the Lady Cards kick off the 2008 season.
If you have not yet experienced the fun and excitement of High School Fastpitch Softball, Thomas Worthington offers a unique environment you don't want to miss. We look forward to seeing you on the Flats!
