The Tri Valley 14's lost a tough doubleheader on July 24 to Antioch to finish in the runner-up spot at the State Tournament in Woodland. They lost the first game 14-1 and then dropped a a heartbreaker 5-4 in 8 innings.

Earlier, Tri Valley had dominated in the tourney, defeating Woodland in the opening game 9-2 and then knocking off a solid Rohnert Park club 3-1. They faced Antioch in the semifinals and won 3-0.

The team competed well and had a great run this summer.
