Welcome to the Oshawa Turul '92 Girls website!

Our brief history of achievements!

Year 1, U 11

It all started in the Spring of 2003 when our team was formed.
-First season outdoor in the CGSL Division 2, 1st place finish!
-Promotion to CGSL Division 1!
-2003/2004 DISC indoor league champs!
-2003/2004 DISC indoor playoff champs!

Year 2, U 12

-Finished 1st, CGSL Division 1!
-Promotion to Premier Division of the CGSL!
-Finalists, CGSL Div 1 League Cup!
-Peterborough City Tournament Champs!
-Brampton Invitational Tournament Champs!
-3rd Place U-13 Greece Cobras Tournament-Rochester, New York!
-2004/2005 2nd Place Finish,Hangar U-13 Indoor League!
-2004/2005 Playoff Champs, Hangar U-13 Indoor League!
-Finalists, DISC Christmas Indoor Tournament!

Year 3, U 13 in 2005
-Brockville Preseason Tournament Champs!
-Peterborough City Tournament Champs!
-Attended University of California in Pennsylvania camp. 3-0 including a very exciting win over the State Champs from Erie Pennsylvania!
-3rd place finish, first year playing in Premier division of the CGSL!
-Gained promotion in 2006 in the Ontario Youth Soccer League!
-October, Appalachian Fall Soccer Festival Champions in Bristol Tennessee!
-Toured King College, Tennessee and Virginia Intermont College, Virgina!
-Trained with womens team at Virginia's Intermont University and met the coaches of the schools to learn about the type of committment it takes as an Athlete to move forward with both Sports and Academics!
-2005 indoor the girls played in the U-15 Division at the DISC in Oshawa!

Year 4, U 14 2006:

-First year OYSL, tough year where we improved immensely from start to finish, can't wait to get back!
-Travelled to the Inaugural Secret City Invitational Tournament in Knoxville Tennessee to defeat the State Champion Knoxville Velocity for the Tournament Championship!
-1st Canadian team to play at the Tennessee Lady Vols Stadium!
-Toured Maryville College and met Head Coach Pepe Fernandez to once again learn the committment required for a college calibre athlete.


-Year 5, U15 2007:

-Won our first Futsal Championship at the Toronto Futsal Centre!
-Won the Pre-season Kemptville Tournament!
-Won the Oshawa Kicks U 16 Spring Tournament!
-Competing in the highly competitive CGSL Level 3 League!
-Preparing for another US Turul Tour for this fall!
-Champions of the 2007 Northeast Invitational Showcase Tournament in New York!
-Getting ready for another Strength and Speed Training Campaign with our very own internationally certified Soccer Strength Coach!

-Year 6, U16 2008:

-2008 Ontario Futsal Cup Champions 
-Hosted "Everything you wanted to know about playing soccer at Canadian and American Universities seminar!"
-Attended Rated Sports Umbro Invitational Showcase, Mississauga
-Attended Columbia Invitational Showcase, Washington D.C.
-Attended Rated Sports ID Camp at BMO Field, Toronto
-Attended North American College Showcase, Saginaw Michigan
-All summer the girls attended SAT preparation classes to write SAT exams this Fall

Fall 2008

This Fall the Turul played friendly matches at Canadian Universities, entered and won The Kanata Indoor Showcase  (Champions!!!) as well as semi-finalsits at the Orange Classic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.


2009 Highlights:

-Exciting year for the Turul starting in Florida at the Orange Classic where we finished as Semi-finalists.

-Played friendly matches vs University of Guelph in Guelph and Queen's University in Kingston.

-Showcase Tournaments in Rochester New York, Umbro in Mississauga, Kalamazoo in Michigan and Score at the Shore in North Carolina.

-Finished as L3 League Runners Up and L3 Cup Champions.

-Turul will be applying to play in the U-18 Division for the 2010 season!

-Fall 2009, The Turul will be attending Canadian and US University Showcase events as well as playing exhibition matches vs the colleges and university teams.


- Finished our last season in 2nd place in the Eastern Division of the OYSL and Ranked #2 overall in Ontario!

We would like to wish all of our fine young ladies who are off to represent the Turul at colleges and universities all over the US and Canada the best of luck in their new endeavors, your coaches are extremely proud of what you were able to accomplish as a group and as individuals!

  In the words of Coach Brown "  This has been a team effort with the coaches, families and player all buying into our plans and giving nothing but 100% to make them a reality!" A huge thank you to all the Turul nation of parents and players for your tremendous committment and dedication for all these years and for believing in the program! 


Thank you ladies, we've had an amazing journey since our first season together starting way back at U11 up until today. It's been a BLAST!!! See you all at U21!
