INTERVIEW WITH VARSITY COACH KELLEY: "This is my third year at the helm of the mighty Spartans. We have the most talent we have ever had in my tenure. I am very excited about this season. I feel that with a lot of hard work, that a league title is definitely a possibility. Our tough matches are against Kings, Little Miami, Seven Hills, Summit, CCDS, and of course Anderson. We have already avenged one of last year's tough losses by beating Seton 3-2. The girls played really hard and we will only get better."

INTERVIEW WITH JUNIOR VARSITY COACH BARB: "This is a large team and I am going to do my best to give the girls some playing time. We have a lot of potentials for next year that need to get more match play."

Hannah Zimmerman and Gabbi Cerchio named FAVC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK!
"Hannah and Gabbi, second doubles team, defeated the CHCA second doubles team 7-6, 7-5. This is the equivalent of the 1980 U.S. Hockey team's victory over the heavily favored Soviet Union."

ARTICLE IN FOREST HILLS JOURNAL (August 26, 2009):
The Spartans' roster is filled with upperclassmen this fall with eight seniors and two juniors preparing to compete for Turpin. Turpin aims to compete for a league championship in 2009 after finishing at 7-7 last year including a 3-2 league record. In the Spartans' FAVC Cardinal Division, Turpin took third place last season behind first-place Little Miami and second place Kings. Third-year head coach Kelley Peter suspects a number of Turpin players will compete for individual league titles including Caroline Margraf, Hannah Zimmerman, Katie Hensley, Liz Pohana and Candace Foster.

CINCINNATI COUNTRY DAY INVITATIONAL NEWS: The Turpin doubles team of Caroline Margraf and Katie Hensley made it to the championship match in the 1st flight, losing to the CHCA team.
