VANCOUVER ALL STARS BASEBALL CAMPS AT TROUT LAKE!

You may have seen Vancouver Allstars signs around the city – promoting their baseball camps at various parks.  Thanks to the efforts of Nate Dillon, VA will be running two camps this summer at OUR OWN ballpark – Trout Lake.  The Trout Lake camp information is online and can be accessed from the VA homepage at www.vancouverallstars.ca - on the right side of the page you will see "Click here for information about our new Trout Lake location this August!"

2009 All Star dates

The coaches for the all star teams have been selected and they will be holding skills clinics (all players welcome) to determine which 12-14 players will make up the all star teams for each division.  Those teams will be announced at the closing ceremonies on the 21st.  Here are the dates for the all star tournaments: 
Tball - June 27 to June 30, 2009 @ Trout Lake 
Senior Rookie - June 27 to July 2 (3rd if necessary), 2009 @ Trout Lake
Minors - July 4 to July 10, 2009 @ Hastings
Majors - July 11 to 17, 2009 @ South Van
Minors Provincials - July 18 to 26, 2009 @ Little Mountain
Majors Provincials - July 25 onwards, 2009 @ Coquitlam
Majors Canadians - August 8 to 15, 2009 @ Val D'Or Quebec
Worlds - August 21 to 30, 2009 @ Williamsport

LANTERN FESTIVAL AT TROUT LAKE JULY 25

 The 20th annual Illuminares Lantern Festival will be held on July 25th 2009

The Illuminares Lantern Procession includes an amazing show of art, music, dance, fire sculptures, and torch choreography.

Our concession at the ballpark will be open so come on by and enjoy a tasty treat at this spectacular event.



Wednesday, March 4
Opening Ceremonies Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2pm

 You  will receive a call from your coach by the end of March (please contact us if you do not).  You will receive a game schedule and uniform (tshirts for blastball) from your coach in time for our opening ceremonies, where all of our teams will be called onto diamond 1 and welcomed to Trout Lake Little League.  Our season is 11 weeks with closing ceremonies on Sunday, June 21.  All star teams are formed mid June and play into the summer - dates vary according to division.

Trout Lake Coaching Manual, 2008 Edition

In the Coaches section of the website, we've posted the 40 page Trout Lake Little League Coaching Manual, 2008 Edition. Also in that section are coaching resources and tips for those coaching and helping out at Trout Lake baseball, including a template for signing up parent volunteers, tips for running practices, a parent meeting agenda, and suggested drills.

The boundaries for Trout Lake Little League have been expanded into Burnaby for 2008! See the new map to the right showing the expanded boundaries. The main boundaries are now Terminal/East 1st Ave/Lougheed Hwy on the north, into Burnaby to Sperling Ave on the east, East 41st Ave/Victoria Dr/East King Edward Ave on the south, and Main St/East Broadway/Fraser St on the west.
